Privacy Policy

The short version

The numbers you enter into any calculator on this site stay on your device. They are processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and are never transmitted to us.

What is stored on your device

Three small items of browser storage, all first-party, all staying on your device:

  • Recently used calculators — a short list of calculator names, so the homepage can show them again.
  • Theme preference — whether you chose light or dark mode.
  • Your privacy choice — the answer you gave to the cookie banner, so you are not asked on every page.

These are treated as essential: without the third one the site could not remember your decision, and it would have to ask again on every visit. None of them contains any amount you calculated, and all can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.

Analytics

Analytics runs only if you agree to it. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you are willing to allow Google Analytics. Until you press Accept, no Google script is loaded, no request is made to Google, and no analytics cookie is set. Rejecting costs you nothing — every calculator works exactly the same either way.

If you do accept, Google Analytics counts visits and records which calculators are used. It places its own cookies on your device and receives your IP address, the pages you view, and general information about your browser. Google may use that data in line with its own privacy policy.

What is never sent, whatever you choose: the numbers you type into a calculator. Results are worked out entirely inside your browser, and the page addresses reported to Google have the values stripped out of them, so an amount you enter cannot leave your device.

Changing your mind. Use the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of any page. Switching analytics off stops any further reporting, tells Google's script to stop sending data, and deletes the analytics cookies this site set on your device. Cookies set by other domains are outside our reach — clear those through your browser.

Analytics is also skipped automatically if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, even if you pressed Accept. You can additionally block it with any ad blocker or with Google's opt-out add-on.

Advertising

This site is designed to support advertising in future. If an advertising network such as Google AdSense is introduced, that network may set cookies and use them to show relevant ads. This section will be updated with the specific network, and a cookie consent notice will be shown where required by law.

Some pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing information with them.

Children

This site is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

We do not hold a database of users, and nothing you calculate is stored anywhere. The analytics described above are collected by Google, not by us, and we see only aggregate reports — never anything that identifies you. To have Google's data about you removed, use their opt-out add-on or clear the cookies for this site.

If you contact us by email, we keep that message only as long as needed to answer it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
